Fraction art

This week I have been learning to do fraction. But to day we did our maths differently instead of writing it in our maths books we instead we had made art. The fractions I made it up to was  1 whole, 1/2,  1/4,  1/ 8,  1/16,  1/32, 1/64,  1/128,  1/256,  1/512,  1/1024, 1/ 2048,  1/4096.  The easy part was  cutting and gluing the paper onto the whole.  The easy part was  cutting and gluing the paper onto the whole. The thing I will change about my art is the shape.

Worms

This week we have been working on Pangarau. We have been learning about worms. In this math game you need to draw a systematical table  to record my learning. Then you get a hundreds sheet and colour in 34,35,36,37,44,45,46,47,54,55,56,57,64,65,66,67 in any colour. Then you need to use 3 of the same coloured blocks and 1 different coloured block then you have to try and find different shapes for the worm but the trick is that you have to keep the head on the colour numbers.  When you play this game you have to add the numbers that the worm is covering then when you  all of add them all up and the you get the total. My favourite part about this game was find different shapes that worms can make. The hard part was trying to get as many shapes as possible. My next step is to learn other ways to calculate my answer.

Problem solving

This week have been learning to do fraction. We know that the first number is the numerator and we know that the second number is is the denominator  it was kind of boring at first when your  learning what a numerator is and what a denominator is but when your teacher or someone talks you threw it then you will get it. Easy part: Was finding it easy. Hard part: Was learnng what the formula was.

1.1/6 of 48 = 4

48 ÷ 6 = 4

Factors

This week my class and I were learning Factors and multiples. I really enjoyed doing factors because I haven't learned how to do factors until yesterday it was cool. Here some of my work.

Maths

This week we did some maths. We were talking about its impossible to make 37 using 10 numbers but we found out that two odd numbers makes a even number and two even numbers makes an odd and you can only make 37 out 9 or 11 numbers.

Intergers

This week my teacher was teaching my hole class what intergers was here is a photo of us problem solving.

Analogue

Today we were doing some maths we were doing analogue time I asked my buddy if we should work together and he said sure and we worked as buddy's.

Te wa

Today 28 of November 2017 we were learning how to read a clock things that I learnt in maths is telling the time and how to tell the clock I have learnt that there is 12 hours every day and night and that means that there is 24 hours in a day here is a photo of a clock telling that is 2:05.
